Ashley Monroe

Ashley Monroe is an American country music songwriter and singer. Ashley Monroe was part of a group known as Pistol Annies, with Angaleena Presley as well as Miranda Lambert in 2007, and then released her 2nd album, called Like a Rose. Ashley Monroe singing with Blake Shelton in the year 2015. She released The Blade, an album which brought her great fame. Ashley Monroe has been in the public sector for more than 15 years. She was five years serving as the city's deputy manager in Iowa City. As the Assistant Village Manager she is currently responsible for managing the Community Development and Building Department and the completion of the various projects. Ashley is in charge of the daily operations at Riverside Village while also implementing the strategy and vision that elected representatives. Ashley's prior roles have included administration planning, communications budgeting, and the management of staff and collective negotiations. Ashley is also passionate about climate action. Ashley has gained invaluable insight through the work she did with national organizations and also from her work with various communities. Ashley's course is focused on management, leadership and public administration from the viewpoint of a practicing practitioner. In addition to establishing the context for present and future practitioners Ashley stresses the necessity of adapting today's ethical and strategically-based decision making to meet challenges and take advantage of opportunities.
